I really liked this article because it pretty much sums me up. If my house is clean, I feel pretty darn good, and my kids are much calmer and less moody. If only I could remember this, so that I can avoid having to do crisis cleaning when things have gotten out of control. Even when I have to drag myself to do the dishes or something, I am always happy afterward, no matter how tired I was before...and I am happy about it the next day too. Thanks Cortney!
This article was spot on to what has been on my mind lately. I have had such a hard time keeping up with my home with three kids! People always tell me not to worry about my home being messy when my kids are little, but what bothers me is that having a clean home DOES contribute so much to how I feel inside. I am just glad to know that I am not alone in having to just toughen up and do what has to be done just to have even a few minutes of cleanliness and happniess. Thanks for your thoughts Cortney! You express them so much better than I ever could!
I definitely think more clearly in a tidy house, too. But for me it's more about the cleaning process than the actual clean. I sort out my thoughts while I'm sorting socks. So in a way, it's a good thing to have some clutter around, so I can have something to organize while I get my head on straight! ;)
Praiseworthy was created with the hope of opening a window into a world of things that are beautiful, inspiring, and real -- a world where mommies are creative, hopeful, and honest. Here we will write about the little pieces of our lives that might somehow create a link between us and you. The things we like, the things that drive us crazy, the things that we don't really understand--chances are that somewhere, someone else feels the same. In a blogging world, the possibilities really are endless!
